Create a PDF Report for New Pipedrive Deals Using Zapier
In this tutorial and demo, we will automatically generate a PDF report when a new deal is created in Pipedrive, then save it to a preferred storage app.
Step 1: Set Up the Pipedrive Trigger
Create a Zap and select Pipedrive as the trigger app with New Deal as the event.
Connect your Pipedrive account and test the trigger. Select a sample deal containing the information you want in your report.
Step 2: Add the PDF.co Action
Add PDF.co → HTML to PDF.
Connect your PDF.co account by signing in and authorizing Zapier when prompted.
Step 3: Build the Report
In HTML or URL Input, paste this HTML:

</html>Replace each bracketed placeholder with the corresponding Pipedrive field using Zapier’s field picker. These placeholders are labels for mapping, not automatically populated variables.
Configure the remaining settings:
- Page Orientation: Portrait.
- Page Size: A4 or Letter.
- Custom Margins:
15mm. - Name: Enter a filename such as
deal-report.pdf, optionally including the mapped deal ID.
Leave HTML Template ID and HTML Template Data empty when supplying the HTML directly. See the HTML to PDF documentation for available settings.
Step 4: Test the PDF Generation
Test the action and open the returned url. Confirm that the deal information appears correctly and the report’s layout meets your needs.
Step 5: Save the Report
Add a storage action, such as Google Drive → Upload File. Select the destination folder and map PDF.co’s output url to the file input.
Test the upload, then publish the Zap. Each new Pipedrive deal will generate a PDF report and save it automatically.
