Important Update
The old /v1/pdf/optimize
endpoint is now deprecated. While it remains available for use, we strongly recommend migrating to the new /v2/pdf/compress
endpoint for better performance and future compatibility.
We’re excited to announce the very first of our next-generation endpoints — /v2/pdf/compress
— bringing massive improvements to PDF compression and performance.
Thanks to an upgraded engine based on PyMuPDF technology, the new /v2/pdf/compress
endpoint can shrink your PDF files up to 40% smaller compared to the previous /v1/pdf/optimize
endpoint — all while maintaining excellent visual quality.
Whether you’re optimizing for bandwidth, speed, or storage, this marks a big step forward in our mission to make PDFs faster, lighter, and easier to work with.
Important Update
The old /v1/pdf/optimize
endpoint is now deprecated. While it remains available for use, we strongly recommend migrating to the new /v2/pdf/compress
endpoint for better performance and future compatibility.
Instead of using /v1/pdf/optimize
, simply send your files to the new /v2/pdf/compress
endpoint.
The new engine ensures faster processing, better compression ratios, and higher overall efficiency without sacrificing how your PDFs look.
Zapier and Make.com Users
New users will use the new compression endpoint by default. If you were using the older optimize action, you will have the option to transition to the new endpoint.
