Step 1: Create a Zap

  • First, log into your Zapier account and click on the Create Zap button.

Step 2: Select Paypal App

  • Next, search and select the PayPal app.
  • Then, choose the Successful Sale option to trigger notifications only for completed and successful payments.

  • Now, copy the Webhook URL and paste it into your PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) settings to enable and receive payment notifications for your application. After configuring the IPN settings and saving the Webhook URL, you can test the trigger to ensure successful sale notifications from your PayPal account are received.

  • The test trigger was successful, confirming a successful sale from the PayPal account. Let’s now switch to another app and complete the donation certificate template. Once filled out, we can send it to the donor’s email.

  • For this step, let’s add the PDF.co app and select the PDF Filler option to fill out the donation certificate template.

  • Next, connect your PDF.co account to Zapier by adding your API Key. You can obtain the API Key from your PDF.co dashboard or by signing up at this link.

  • First, input the direct URL of your source file. If you’re using a file instead of a URL, you can use the PDF.co File Storage to convert your file to a URL. This converted URL will be used for PDF.co processing.
  • Next, add the x and y coordinates, along with the page range, where you want to add the text in the donation certificate. Specify the font name and font size for the added text. You can easily get the coordinates of the document using the PDF.co PDF Edit Add Helper tool at this link.
  • Finally, specify the desired name for your output file.
